Our What Is Rosh Hashanah lesson plan teaches students all about the holiday Rosh Hashanah, including its origins, how it is celebrated, and who celebrates it.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to summarize the history and traditions of the Jewish people as it relates to the holiday Rosh Hashanah, will be able to determine the main idea of a non-fiction text and find supporting details that support the main idea, will be able to use evidence from a non-fiction text when answering text-based questions, and will be able to compare traditions from two different cultures using two or more non-fiction texts.
