Social studies is way more interesting than you think! It’s the study of people, their relationships to each other, and how they interact with their environment. It’s important because it helps us understand our own culture as well as others, and makes us more informed citizens.
In this lesson plan, students will be introduced to the 10 themes of social studies. They’ll learn what they are, why they’re important, and how to apply them to current problems. By the end of the lesson, students will have a better understanding of social studies and be able to see its importance in their daily lives.
