Learn Bright learning roadmaps provide an excellent schedule to follow for teaching our lesson plans. Whether you are a teacher in a classroom or a homeschooler, these outlines will help you keep track of the subjects you need to teach your students. This roadmap explores earth and space topics within the science subject category for students in 3rd grade and 4th grade.

Using the roadmap for each subject, you can figure out which lessons to teach and when. Some roadmaps provide a few additional lesson plans that you can use if you find that your students need extra practice, or if you have more time to fill. The roadmaps are a guide and are not meant to hold you to a rigid agenda. You can adjust as you wish to meet your specific needs and objectives.

Description

What our lesson guides include

Overview: The Earth and Space Learning Roadmap Gr3-4 lesson guide introduces students to concepts and material that explore the planet and the universe around it. Students will study a number of varying subjects that align with NGSS standards. In total, the Earth and Space guide for students in 3rd grade and 4th grade includes 53 lessons.

Learn Bright learning roadmaps are useful tools for organizing your teaching agenda, whether in the classroom or at home. The science roadmaps are divided into general subject areas: earth and space, engineering and technology, life sciences, and physical science. This roadmap includes the lessons for the 3-4 grade band in earth science. It lists the lessons in alphabetical order, and you will find the grade band associated with the lesson below the lesson title. Note that some lessons fall into more than one subject area or grade band.

Teaching Schedule

Because there is no national standard for teaching science-related topics, you can choose any number of these lessons to teach your students throughout the years. Many lessons relate well to each other, and you may benefit from teaching multiple lessons at the same time. For instance, this Earth and Space Learning Roadmap Gr3-4 lesson guide includes separate lessons for igneous rocks, sedimentary rocks, metamorphic rocks, the rock cycle, and geology. You could teach all five in conjunction with each other. Feel free to be flexible and adjust when necessary to fit your unique needs!
