Description
Our Similarities/Differences of Two Texts lesson plan teaches students how to find and describe the similarities and differences between two pieces of writing. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively with a partner to complete an activity in which their teacher reads two texts about the same topic and they identify the similarities and differences between the texts. Students are also asked to look at two similar photos and tell what is the same or different about them, demonstrating their ability to compare two images.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify basic similarities in and differences between two texts on the same topic using the illustrations, descriptions, or procedures in the text.
