Description
Our Relationships/Interactions Nonfiction Text lesson plan teaches students how to compare and contrast various aspects of nonfiction texts. During this lesson, students are asked to read a passage about both space exploration and deep-sea exploration and answer questions about how the two topics are related, if it’s logical to compare the two, and why the author chose to compare them. Students are also asked to read a provided passage about various types of animals and fill in a graphic organizer comparing and contrasting the various types discussed.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify the important individuals, events, concepts, or ideas in an informational text. Students will also be able to identify the relationships between individuals, events, concepts, or ideas and explain how those relationships contribute to the understanding of the text.
