Description

Our Personal POV v. Author’s POV lesson plan teaches students the differences between a personal POV (point of view) and an author’s POV. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to read passages and complete a chart that asks about the author’s point of view, evidence to support their point of view, and their own point of view. Students are also asked to read a given passage and answer questions about it that might help them determine a point of view.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to distinguish their own point of view from that of the author of a text.
