Description

Our Conveying an Author’s POV lesson plan teaches students about how authors create a point of view in their writing and how to identify it. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively with a partner to read an article and answer questions about it from the author’s POV, demonstrating their ability to put themselves in the shoes of the author. Students are also asked to read about the same event from two different points of view and answer questions about their similarities and differences and how the different authors affected the retelling of the event.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to explain how an author develops the point of view of the narrator or speaker in a text.
