Description

Do your students ever have trouble putting themselves in another person’s shoes? Or maybe they can identify with a character’s feelings, but they’re not quite sure how to express what they’re feeling themselves. If either of these sound familiar, then the Characters Feelings lesson plan is perfect for your class!

This lesson introduces students to feelings as related to the characters in the stories they will be reading. Most students understand feelings, but may not be able to identify the feeling related to the character’s actions or words. It is important for students to compare how they may feel at times to a character in the story they are reading. The lesson may help students to understand and practice empathy as well.

With the Characters Feelings lesson plan, your students will:

– Learn about different feelings and how to identify them

– Understand how characters in stories may be feeling based on their actions or words

– Practice empathy by putting themselves in another person’s shoes

This is a great lesson for helping your students connect with the characters in the stories you’re reading in class. By understanding how the characters are feeling, your students can better appreciate the actions and emotions in the story. Give your students a deeper understanding of characters and plot with this lesson plan.
