Write Variable Expressions

$1.95

With our Write Variable Expressions lesson plan, students learn how to write variable expressions and how to write numerical expressions as verbal expressions and vice versa.

Description

Our Write Variable Expressions lesson plan teaches students how to properly write and understand algebraic expressions. During this lesson, students are asked to write phrases (such as “twelve added to a number”) as numerical expressions in order to practice recognizing the correct operation that a phrase is asking for, such as addition, subtraction, or multiplication. Students are also asked to practice rewriting numerical expressions as verbal ones.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to write verbal expressions as algebraic expressions using operations and variables.
