Description
Our Word Problems – Division of Fractions lesson plan teaches students strategies for solving word problems that include the division of unit fractions. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively and use their creativity to create a real-world problem for given fraction division problems and then solve them using drawings, pictures, or other strategies. Students are also asked to practice solving word problems including division of fractions, demonstrating their understanding of the lesson material.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to solve real-world problems involving division of unit fractions by non-zero whole numbers and division of whole numbers by unit fractions.
