With our Solid Figures and Cubic Units lesson plan, students learn about how solid figures can be filled with cubic units and about the properties of those cubic units. Students practice working with these shapes in addition to answering questions about their properties.

Description

Our Solid Figures and Cubic Units lesson plan teaches students how to understand that solid figures can be made up of cubic units and how to work with these cubic units. During this lesson, students are asked to practice drawing unit cubes inside of solid figures. Students are also asked to answer questions about how cubic units work and what their properties are, demonstrating their understanding of the lesson material.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to pack a solid figure with unit cubes without gaps or overlaps to understand volume.
