Description
Our Rounding to Nearest 10 & 100 lesson plan teaches students strategies for rounding whole numbers to the nearest 10 or 100. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to create numbers at random with different numbers of digits and then round them to the nearest ten and hundred, demonstrating their ability to round various numbers. Students are also asked to answer word problems in which they need to round.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to use place value understanding to round whole numbers to the nearest 10 or 100.
