Description
Our Ratios for Converting Measurements lesson plan teaches students that there are different systems to measure mass, volume, and distance. Being able to convert or change between the systems is very important for discussions between scientists and mathematicians. Students are asked to use their creativity to create their own conversion charts on construction paper, which they will then use for practice problems. Students are also asked to individually complete practice problems in order to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to convert measurements using equivalent fractions and ratios.
