High praise

I was looking for some extra practice or review work for my students to utilize during Centers. I found some great activities! I always do. I have no trouble finding what I need and I can consistently count on the material being fun and pertinent to what my class is working on.

Our Points and Lines lesson plan teaches students how to identify points, lines, line segments, rays, and perpendicular and parallel lines. Students also learn to draw, name, and use each of these correctly.

Description

Our Points and Lines lesson plan introduces students to the concepts and terminology of points and lines. During this lesson, students are asked to complete an interactive activity in which they cut out squares, create different types of points, lines, and line segments using the cut-outs, and draw and label points, lines, and line segments using the spaces provided. Students are also asked to individually complete practice problems in order to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify, name, and draw points, lines, line segments, rays, and perpendicular and parallel lines. Identify these in two-dimensional figures.
