All you have to do is multiply by a factor of 10.
The first step is to multiply both the numerator and denominator by the same number, creating equivalent fractions. In the provided example, they use 100 as the common denominator, because it’s the larger number. You can also simply add a 0 to both numbers instead of multiplying. Now that you have equivalent fractions, you just need to add the numerators together!
