Description
Our Verb Tense Shifts lesson plan teaches students about the correct way to shift verb tenses in writing. During this lesson, students are asked to conduct a conversation with a partner, during which each student can say only one sentence at a time; however, the sentence must include two actions. The students then write out each sentence, ensuring that the verb shifts are appropriate and correct. Students are also asked to read example sentences and correct the inappropriate shifts in verb tense by rewriting the sentences correctly.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to recognize and correct inappropriate shifts in verb tense.
