Description
Our Using Temporal Words/Phrases lesson plan introduces students to temporal words or phrases used as transitions for writing personal narratives, stories, and other text. The use of temporal words and phrases will help students identify the sequence of events in the content they read and will help them with their own writing. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively to create paragraphs using a given set of temporal words or phrases; they are then asked to use their public speaking and presentation skills to share their paragraphs with the class. Students are also asked to independently match temporal words with their correct categories and use them in sentences.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to use temporal words and phrases to signal event order.
