Linking Words and Phrases for Opinions

$1.95

With our Linking Words and Phrases for Opinions lesson plan, students learn about linking words and phrases and how to properly use them in their writing.

Description

Our Linking Words and Phrases for Opinions lesson plan teaches students what linking words and phrases are and how they are used. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to take turns drawing linking words and phrases from a hat and making sentences with them that also state their opinions about a topic of their choosing. Students are also asked to read sentences and choose the best linking word or phrase to fill in the blanks, demonstrating their understanding of when specific linking words or phrases should be used.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to use linking words and phrases (e.g., because, therefore, since, for example) to connect opinions and reasons.
