Description
Our Explaining Your Ideas lesson plan teaches students how to properly explain their ideas. During this lesson, students are asked to complete an activity with a partner in which they choose a discussion topic and answer specific questions about that topic which they then present to their partner; they evaluate their partner’s presentation and their partner evaluates theirs based on specific criteria. Students are also asked to work independently to read an example scenario and decide what they think the problem is and what should happen next.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to use a strategy to present their ideas during discussions, explain their ideas so others listening can understand them, and question and evaluate other ideas against their own during a discussion.
