Description
Our Editing and Proofreading lesson plan explains the difference between editing and proofreading and shows students how to proofread and edit their own written work. Students will work collaboratively, using their creative writing skills, to write and edit a story together from beginning to end. Students will also identify errors in given sentences on their own in order to practice recognizing different types of errors in written work.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define editing and proofing, recognize the differences, and effectively edit and proofread grade-level writing content.
