Description
Our Asking and Answering Questions lesson plan helps students develop effective questions for clarification, comprehension, or to simply grasp a better understanding of a topic or an issue. Students will discuss why asking questions is important and learn a number of different question starters, such as “who,” “when,” and “why.” They will also work in pairs on a collaborative activity in which they take turns asking and answering questions based on a given text.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to ask and answer questions about what a speaker says to clarify comprehension, gather information, and gain a deeper understanding of a topic or issue.
