Description
Our Asking and Answering Questions lesson plan teaches students how to properly ask questions and how to answer questions they are asked about their writing in an effective way. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to read a passage and come up with questions about it both from the perspective of someone reading the passage and from the perspective of the writer and questions they might expect to be asked. Students are also asked to work independently to read a passage and then decide if the pre-written questions are good questions or not; if not, they write a better question instead.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to evaluate presentations by speakers, to actively listen, and to ask appropriate questions.
