Lesson Add On

This lesson made a great add on for me to help kids understand adjectives. There are two activities that I taught on different days to help with review and the kids enjoyed them! I like that it came with a list of adjective ideas. My kids were stuck using colors and sizes and not being more creative with words so this list helped a lot!

Great resource

My daughter enjoyed this resoure , as well as myself. It was engaging, not a typical fill in the blank sheet. Also, the script for the teacher is worded in a way that clearly explained the topic for a 9 year old.

Adjectives (Grades 1-3)

I thought that the materials were excellent. They were colorful, and the explanations were clear and understandable. There was a good variety of exercises to keep my granddaughter's interest. I'm looking forward to using more Clarendon materials this summer as I prepare my granddaughter for school in the fall.

Description

Our Adjectives lesson plan for grades 1-2 teaches young students to add details to their written expression as they define and identify an adjective, and correctly use adjectives in their writing. Students collaborate on an activity where they use positive adjectives to describe a partner and build confidence as they share their responses with the class. This lesson also highlights the presence of adjectives within a story in order to illustrate their importance.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define and identify an adjective, and correctly use adjectives.
