Description
Our Adjective Order lesson plan briefly reviews adjectives, then focuses on the proper placement of adjectives in sentences. It tells the students that while there is not necessarily a fixed correct order, there is a preferred order of adjectives for effective communication. This lesson asks students to use their critical thinking skills to identify what type of adjectives they’re using (opinion, size, age, etc.) and write sentences using multiple types of adjectives as practice. This lesson can be used in conjunction with other lessons related to adjectives.
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to order adjectives within sentences according to conventional patterns.
