Our Common Affixes as Clues lesson plan teaches students about common affixes and how to use them correctly. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively with a partner to write sentences using words with common affixes. Students are also asked to match prefixes and suffixes with their meanings, demonstrating their understanding of the lesson material.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to use frequently occurring affixes as a clue to the meaning of a word.
