Description
Our Figurative, Connotative, and Technical Meanings lesson plan teaches students about different forms of figurative, connotative, and technical language. During this lesson, students are asked to find examples of similes, metaphors, hyperbole, and personification in a book they are currently reading, demonstrating their ability to identify them. Students are also asked to read a passage and answer questions based on that passage that rely on the connotation of the passage to answer.Â
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to determine the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in a text, including figurative, connotative, and technical meanings.
