Recalling and Gathering Information

$1.95

With our Recalling and Gathering Information lesson plan, students learn about different types of information and how each can be used, including information gained from personal experience and information gained from outside sources.

Description

Our Recalling and Gathering Information lesson plan teaches students about strategies to gather and recall information from different sources, such as personal experience and academic sources. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively with a partner to think about a question asked by the teacher and then write up information that they know about that topic from their own personal experience, what their partner knows from their experience, and what they know from other sources, giving them the opportunity to understand how these types of information differ. Students are also asked to look at various questions and decide which of the following could be best used to answer that question: their personal experience, a source, or both.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to recall information from experiences or gather information from provided sources to answer a question (with guidance and support from adults).
