Description
Our Inferences – Nonfiction – Grade 4 lesson plan teaches students strategies for making intelligent inferences about a text. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively with a partner to read a text given to them by their teacher and make inferences based on that text; they then find supporting details and evidence from the text to support those inferences. Students are also asked to read a passage and answer questions about it using inferences they make using the text.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to refer to details and examples in a text when explaining what the text says explicitly and when drawing inferences from the text.
