Description
Our Topic Introduction for Opinions lesson plan teaches students how to write effective introductions for opinions along with the correct order for writing an opinion essay. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to write introductions for various topics, including a topic of their choosing. Students are also asked to read statements and write their opinion using given sentence starters such as “I think…” and “In my opinion…”.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to introduce the topic or text they are writing about, state an opinion, and create an organizational structure that lists reasons.
