With our Time Estimation lesson plan, students learn how to read analog and digital clocks as well as how to use “AM” and “PM” when talking or writing about time.

Description

Our Time Estimation lesson plan teaches students how to read both digital and analog clocks, as well as how to use “AM” and “PM”. During this lesson, students are asked to choose ten events/activities they participate in throughout the day, write in the time of the event on an analog clock, and write the name of the event and a short description. Students are also asked to decide whether specific events are more likely to take place during AM or PM hours, demonstrating their understanding of how AM and PM correspond to different times of day.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to tell and write time from analog and digital clocks to the nearest five minutes, using a.m. and p.m.
