Description
Our Identify Vowels lesson plan teaches students about vowels, including which letters are vowels and the sounds that they make. During this lesson, students are asked to color in pictures of each vowel, cut them apart, glue them to the paper provided by their teacher, and then draw a picture or find a picture that includes a matching vowel in order to help familiarize themselves with the vowels. Students are also asked to practice identifying vowels by circling the vowels in given words.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to distinguish the difference between vowels and consonants and identify basic vowel sounds.
