Interpreting and Using Imagery

$1.95

With our Interpreting and Using Imagery lesson plan, students learn how to identify and interpret imagery in writing as well as how to incorporate it into their own writing more effectively.

Description

Our Interpreting and Using Imagery lesson plan teaches students strategies for identifying and interpreting imagery in writing. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively with a partner to make simple, boring sentences more interesting and descriptive using imagery. Students are also asked to read example sentences and identify which sense is being referenced in that sentence, demonstrating their ability to interpret the language used by the author.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify and interpret an author’s use of imagery as it’s used in stories and other text and give examples of imagery and its meaning.
