Description
Our Informative Writing – Grade 1 lesson plan teaches students how to effectively write informatively. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively with a partner to practice writing informatively, choosing a topic and 6 facts about that topic and then writing an informative paragraph about it. Students are also asked to read a provided paragraph and determine both the topic and some facts about that topic that are included in the paragraph.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to write informative/explanatory texts in which they name a topic, supply some facts about the topic, and provide some sense of closure.
