Description
Our Audio Recording of Stories/Poems lesson plan teaches students to be better listeners and better readers, and to relate images to text. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively with a partner to take a video of themselves reading a poem aloud and then answer questions about the video and poem and how they relate to each other. Students are also asked to choose a favorite book, comic book, or video game and both draw the setting and write about the setting in words, showing their ability to use their creativity and to visualize written information.
At the end of the lesson, students will have learned to be self-reflective and critically analyze their reading ability. Students will also be able to describe the action in stories and relate images to text.
