Description
Our Partitioning Circles/Rectangles lesson plan teaches students how to partition circles and rectangles into both even and uneven parts. During this lesson, students are asked to count the parts in a partitioned circle or rectangle in addition to partitioning circles and rectangles according to the instructions. Students also learn relevant vocabulary, like “half” and “quarter”.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to partition circles and rectangles into two and four equal shares, describe the shares using the words halves, fourths, and quarters.
