I have not used the curriculum yet. But with everything going on in the world currently we are contemplating homeschooling our kiddos next year. I was on the hunt for curriculums to use and I came across this site. It seems like it will work for what I need. And, I have shared the site with a few friends that are also looking into homeschooling.

Perfection Itself.

I have been using materials from Clarendon Learning for a couple of years now, and I am always delighted with the quality and ease of access of the products. The resources are very valuable in my field, where we use them to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve much needed knowledge to help them obtain their goals and desires.

In our Maintaining Style and Tone lesson plan, students learn about the importance of style and tone in writing and how they can alter the tone and style of their own writing. Students practice maintaining a constant tone and style throughout a piece of writing in order to demonstrate their ability to use the lesson material.

Description

Our Maintaining Style and Tone lesson plan reviews how style and tone affect meaning and then helps students to maintain style and tone with their writing and speaking. Students are asked to use their creative writing skills to write fake letters to friends using different writing styles and tones for each. They are also asked to write additional sentences based on the tone of example sentences they are given in order to practice matching tone.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to maintain consistency in style and tone when writing and speaking.
