Description
Our Computer and Internet History lesson plan introduces students to the beginnings of computers and the Internet, and the history behind the technology. During this lesson, students are asked to discuss what their lives would be like without the internet or the technology that they have available to them, using given questions to guide the conversation with other students; this allows them to think more deeply about the lesson material and connect it to their everyday lives. Students are also asked to match terms with their definitions, demonstrating their understanding of the lesson vocabulary.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to list some of the significant contributions to the development and the history of computers and the Internet. The students will be able to identify well-known people and their contributions related to the development of computers and the Internet.
