Description
Our Read/Write to 1000 lesson plan teaches students to read and write numerical values from 0 to 1000 in word, numeral, and expanded form. With ample demonstrations, resources, and a group activity, students will understand variable placement in equations, as well as how to determine the number of digits given numbers and the significance of varying digits. Students are asked to model numbers using blocks and then write them out in numerals and words as well. Students are also asked to match the word forms to numeral forms and vice versa.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to read and write numerical values from 0 to 1000 in word, numeral, and expanded form.
