Description
Our Understanding Length lesson plan explores how to measure the length of an object. During this lesson, students are asked to measure given objects using cubes, record the length and draw a picture of each object. Students are also asked to estimate the length of different objects and rank them from shortest to longest.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to order three objects by length. Students will also be able to understand that measuring the length of an object is done by placing a smaller object end to end with no gaps or overlaps.
