Description
Our Real World Problems – Coordinate Planes lesson plan teaches students how coordinate planes can be used to help solve real-world problems. During this lesson, students are asked to plot various points on a coordinate plane that represent specific real-world things, such as a school and a playground, and then answer questions about their relative positions. Students are also asked to look at a coordinate plane and answer questions based on it, demonstrating their ability to identify and interpret relevant information on a coordinate plane.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to graph points in the first quadrant to represent real-world and mathematical problems.
