Description
Our Presenting Claims and Findings lesson plan teaches students strategies for researching claims and presenting their findings. During this lesson, students are asked to complete a presentation on a topic of their choosing, using a chart of questions to guide their research and creation of their presentation; they are then graded on specific criteria, such as “The main idea or theme is clearly understood”. Students are also asked to consider various topics and tell how you would begin researching each, demonstrating their understanding of the appropriate research methods for different scenarios.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to present claims and findings, sequencing ideas logically and using pertinent descriptions, facts, and details to accentuate main ideas or themes; use appropriate eye contact, adequate volume, and clear pronunciation.
